Pissing In The Wind

Sindre Bjerga runs since ten years or so his Gold Soundz label. I remember when I first got in contact with him: he was planning a LP with covers of Pink Floyd (ok, that’s wrong – it was somebody else, sorry Sindre – when did we first contact then?). I did a Freiband track for him, but the LP never arrived, so it was released on a 7″ by Plinkity Plonk. Later on I met him, in 2007, when I played in Stavanger and last year in Extrapool. He celebrates his ten years with a CDR compilation of short pieces, 99 in total. ‘With Friends Like These: 10 Years Of Pissing In The Wind’. I have three tracks on there, one with The Tobacconists, one with Ezdanitoff and a solo track (recorded with two laptops connected with Skype!). Lots of short noise pieces by lots of people. Great one!

Probably most known from his ongoing work with Kapotte Muziek (a group that fully concentrates on recycling through musique concrete) and as one half of ambient sound-artists Beequeen. As well as writing the informative and acclaimed weekly newsletter "Vital Weekly", Frans De Waard also founded the Korm Plastics label in 1984, initally only offering cassettes, but since 1992 offering an ever-growing catalogue of CDs and vinyl of contemporary experimental music.
